As of October 2023, the renovated Buffalo Convention Center sports a new, 27,000-square-foot façade that lights up the heart of Buffalo, New York. This durable, innovative polycarbonate translucent wall system, produced by EXTECH/Exterior Technologies, Inc., creates a captivating, lantern-like glow when backlit, resulting in various lighting, graphic, and aesthetic effects.
Customized for the convention center's exact dimensions, this LIGHTWALL 3440® system integrates seamlessly with the rest of the façade. EXTECH ensured this through close collaboration with the architect and construction consultant. The simple, interlocking 40 mm-thick polycarbonate design is durable and UV-protected, built for longevity, with clean colors that will last.
As the oldest convention center in the United States, its renovation from interior changes to this statement wall has reinvigorated meetings and convention business, helping Buffalo thrive.
