Educational Opportunites for AEC Marketers and Business Developers
As the only organization dedicated to creating educational opportunities for AEC marketers and business developers, the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) website is a one-stop shop for tools, knowledge, and best practices.
Whether you’re a marketing coordinator looking to build your knowledge base and enhance your skills or a firm principal looking to build connections that will lead to business opportunities, the hundreds of resources available at smps.org are at your fingertips.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Marketer Online – Find the latest articles, news, and perspectives on this blog. Posts are searchable, and new, informative content is added almost daily. Curious about project data and how to incorporate it into a marketing campaign? A recent post shares how technology can help you identify compelling differentiators for your next proposal or interview.
Pivot & Focus – This new series was introduced in March as SMPS recognized the need to stay connected and adapt during a global pandemic. Virtual resources like videos, articles, and meetups provide timely tips for building business, managing stress, and increasing productivity as we work from home.
Learning Labs – Offered every other month, the educational series is one you can tap into right from your laptop! Struggling with how to train technical staff, optimize your website, or implement a CRM program? Access more than 30 on-demand programs in the Marketing Resource Center at your own pace and on your schedule.
Research – Conducting your own primary research or culling through a mountain of data for secondary research can be costly and time consuming. The SMPS Foundation regularly produces industry-specific white papers, research reports, and other publications to help your firm develop strategies and solutions for improving business outcomes.
While many of these resources are available to anyone, many of them are only available to members of SMPS. Others are free to members but have a cost for nonmembers. You’ll find the price of membership is quickly recouped by all the free and discounted online material you can access. Membership in a local chapter is also included in the dues and connects you to local educational, networking, business, and leadership opportunities.
Tap into this goldmine! You’ll find the resources of the website and organization will help you strengthen your firm’s business and bottom line.
