If you read Heidi Nielsen’s MVP Insights feature, you might have paused at the end to play a quick round of “Two Truths and a Lie.” Now it’s time for the big reveal.

Here’s a recap of the three statements Heidi shared:

1. I hitchhiked through Switzerland in college.
2. I’ve summited all the major peaks in Utah.
3. I’ve completed the Logan to Jackson cycling relay six times.

So, which one was the lie?

It’s #2: “I’ve summited all the major peaks in Utah.”

While Heidi has spent plenty of time outdoors, that particular claim isn’t true. Still, it fooled more than a few readers.

The other two are absolutely true:

• Hitchhiking in Switzerland? Yes. During her college travels abroad, Heidi caught at least one spontaneous ride. She admits it’s not something she’d likely do today, but it made for a memorable experience.

• LOTOJA relay veteran? Six times over. The Logan to Jackson ride is a serious endurance test, and Heidi’s completed it half a dozen times. Her passion for cycling runs deep, and her record backs it up.

“I thought I could get away with that one!” she laughed when asked about her fib.
