A full-service civil engineering firm had a unique opportunity to increase newly appointed associates’ participation in the strategic planning process. MARKETLINK was asked to develop and facilitate the process. Prior to the meeting, MARKETLINK interviewed participants to gain an understanding of individual needs and career path desires. MARKETLINK conducted the two-day session, helping attendees focus on creating goals and objectives to increase the firm’s bottom line. The result was a two-year plan that could be implemented by firm champions. Measurable goal sheets help champions track assignments, deadlines, and evaluation periods.
LINK TO SUCCESS: One of the most valuable aspects that came from the session was a recommendation made by MARKETLINK to form market sector teams for business development efforts. This was a challenge initially due to the various office locations and team leader crossover. After several months of working through different scenarios, a streamlined team and focused agenda was established that continues to work to this day.
