We visit the Gadikwe and Gobega lagoons where, from mid September, the breeding heronries amongst the fig Islands in the lagoons are phenomenal. Purple herons, Squacco and Rufous Bellied Herons keep to the inner thicket of these Islands, whereas the Yellow Billed and Marabou Storks nest on the upper canopy.
