In 1912 the factory moved from Barking to Cricklewood Aerodrome. During the First World War Handley Page produced heavy bombers for the Royal Navy to bomb the Zeppelin yards. Between the wars Handley Page turned to transport aircraft, becoming Imperial Airways. At the onset of the next war, bomber production restarted
