The Valkyrie was the prototype for the B-70 nuclear bomber capable of long-range sorties travelling at Mach 3 at 70
the Royal Air Force had to find a replacement for the Canberra and Hunter types
After the war they both worked with Vickers to convert a Vimy to be able to undertake the long flight

This aircraft first flew from Boscombe Down in 1954, piloted by Roland Beaumont. During its third flight WG760 achieved supersonic flight. This design is also available as a t shirt, long sleeve t shirt and hoodie.
