The EFL gearbox has a shim and circlip at both ends. We have interchanged this selector box with newer EFL T5 Disc models since the 80's with no noticeable adverse effects, but officially there is a slight difference which may or may not effect the long term life of the gearbox cruciform couple of extra selector box
