Old Dogon Purple Glass Strand silver amulet Vintage 1960s original Nagaland-made 26"28" strand of rare glass beads from Mali. Dutch made and traded with the Dogon People in the 1700's. Assorted sizes and color, but these are primarily soft light purple glass beads that are hand faceted but have worn smooth over the centuries. Some of the beads have heavy calcification. Graduated strand 7mm x 9mm to 20mm x 21mm. African bead dealers refer to the purple Dutch glass as "Television" beads.
