Traxxas 8964-GRAY Shock Caps Aluminum Gray Buggy 24" (57mm)Aluminum shock caps for GT Maxx shocks with a gray anodized finish. Four per package. The shock cap seals the top of the shock and holds the bladder that lets oil displace as the shaft moves. A cap that is cracked, cross threaded, or has a tired bladder will let the shock go spongy and eventually weep oil down the body. Aluminum caps also take repeated disassembly during rebuilds far better than moulded ones, which strip at the threads after enough
