Germany, Third Reich. A Parade-Mounted 1936 Olympic Games Commemorative Medal Hold to honour and to endorse(Deutsche Olympia Erinnerungsmedaille 1936). Instituted 31 July 1936. (1936 1937 issue). Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original parade mounted ribbon with a red wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a central column topped by Olympic rings, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1936, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR
