An Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus, Knight in Gold, c. 1900 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Medal for the Defence of(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro, Cavaliere). Instituted in 1434. A Knight in 18K Gold, featuring a white enamelled Shamrock cross with green enamelled Maltese arms in each quadrant, the reverse mirrors the obverse, measures 39. 1 mm (w) x 42. 7 mm (h), weighs 10. 12 grams, worn on original green ribbon with button on reverse, residue to reverse arms, remains in extremely fine condition.
