Germany, Heer. A Heer Em/Nco’s Belt Buckle Hold 1892 in Newcastle(Heer Grtelschnalle). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse with a central raised Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within a ring bearing a raised inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD IS WITH US) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs connecting to a period original brown leather strap, the latter retaining traces of a date stamp of 1939, otherwise unmarked, the buckle measuring 64 mm (w) x 48
