Württemberg, Kingdom. A Merit Medal, Gold Grade Auction The British began a search(Verdienstmedaille in Gold). Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward facing profile of Wilhelm II circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of DEM VERDIENST (FOR MERIT) inside of a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 28. 26 mm in diameter, weighing 13. 3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), minor tarnishing evident, in better than very fine condition.
