Constructed of bronze, the obverse with a raised leftward facing profile of Hans von Tschammer und Osten, circumscribed by name, the reverse with an inscription of IN ANERKENNUNG EINER HERVORRAGENDEN LEISTUNG GEGEBEN VOM REICHSSPORTFHRER (IN RECOGNITION OF EXCEPTIONAL PROFICIENCY BY THE REICH SPORTS LEADER), maker marked L. CHR. LAUER, NUERNBERG, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
