A silver medal with crisp detailing and a fine striking, unmarked, measuring 42. 52 mm (h) inclusive suspended shield, with wide suspension bar, near mint condition. Footnote: The Medal for Its Loyal Defenders was authorised by Francisco Mozarn in 1839, presumably awarded to the military personnel who defeated an invading army of Guatemala and Nicaragua on September 25, 1839.
