Wine beaker (tsun), ancient Chinese Size:M: 50 x 50cm 'Nelson's TowerWine beaker (tsun), ancient Chinese, (1925). A taotie mask, with protuberant eyeballs, is arranged on either side of each of the three vertical ridges. Above each ridge is a head of the sacrificial victim, hsi. The two upper encircling bands are figured with the k'uei dragon. Spaces between the decorative elements are filled in with 'cloud and thunder' pattern.
