Germany, Wehrmacht. A War Merit Cross, I Class With Swords Archive A 1930’s Deutsches Jungvolk (DJV)(Kriegsverdienstkreuz I. Klasse mit Schwertern). Constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the centre pierced by crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the pinback with an illegible Prsidialkanzlei number, measuring 49. 65 mm (w) x 48. 80 mm (h), most of the finish has been lost, in overall very fine
