The Bottle May Day it remained on the site'The Bottle', 1847; showing an interior domestic scene with the family grieving over the death of their youngest child. The child's death has been caused by cold, misery and want as a result of money being squandered on alcohol. The mother and father are consolling themselves with a bottle of alcohol.
