A Defence Badge For Sports By Roman Tavast Newly Listed Instituted 1 May 1 1840Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse with a central blue enameled shield bearing silvered oak leaves, on top of crossed swords, topped and flanked by silvered stars, the reverse with a screwback apparatus and plate, maker marked Roman Tavast, Tallinn, measuring 27. 86 mm in diameter, weighing 15. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
