Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five pointed red enameled star overlaid a radiant starburst, overlaid by a central pentagonal medallion bearing an image of the cruiser Aurora, topped by a red enameled banner bearing a gilt inscription of (OCTOBER REVOLUTION), and situated above a gilded sickle and hammer, the reverse with five visible rivets securing
