In 1960 the Tyrrell Racing Organisation was established to run the factory Coopers in Formula Junior. At the start of 1964 Tyrrell was looking for a driver for the new Formula 3. The pairing of Jackie Stewart and Warwick Banks proved a great success, with Stewart winning the British Championship. In 1970 Tyrrell began to build the Tyrrell 001 chassis. For the
