Germany, Heer. A 1939 Christmas At War Stein, By Wick-Werke GTRexclude and Ministry of Commerce and(Kriegsweihnachten Bierkrug). An extremely well preserved Heer commemorative stein, constructed of glazed porcelain. It features a protruding, curved handle, marked on each side with a notch for the accommodation of a lid hinge. The exterior bears a detailed, hand painted, full colour image of Heer soldiers and a machine gun crew in the field, set within a stylized oak leaf border. It is topped by a unit inscription of LANDES SCHTZEN KOMP. 51 BATL.
