Likely of French manufacture, a silver Maltese cross with ball finials, surrounded by a green enameled laurel wreath with a blue enameled vertical sword, obverse centre appliqu in Gold with red, white and blue enamels, depicting four swords united by the hilts, surrounded by the inscription AL MERITO MILITAR (to Military Merit), reverse with pin
