Germany, Federal Republic. A Pour Le Mérite, Medal For Arts And Sciences, 1957 Version Ribbon Bar Hold Instituted 20 October 1932 by(Orden Pour le Mrite fr Wissenschaft und Knste Bandschnalle). Instituted 31 May 1842 by Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm IV. (1842 present issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, set on a 25 mm long bar with a period original ribbon and horizontal pinback, unmarked, in extremely fine condition.
