Germany, Imperial. A Jerusalem Cross, c. 1930 Province of China a Wound Badge in Black(Jerusalem Erinnerungskreuz). Instituted 31 October 1898 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. (1898 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Jerusalem Cross with dark red enameled arms, with each arm joined through the quadrants by identical enameled crosses, the obverse overlaid by a central ribbed and gilded medallion bearing a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the reverse
