Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching dual lightning bolts, the reverse with dual visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked IMME & SOHN, BERLIN,
