Bos Americanus Pastoral 18th centuryBos Americanus; , 1877. An American bull, mapped out with its joints and cuts of meat, is carefully priced as it tosses the British butcher out of the way. The butcher has labels showing the price of beef to be 13 pence a pound, and mutton 1shilling a pound.
