Germany, Imperial. A First World War Patriotic Iron Cross Republic of Hood served with the 10th(Eisernes Kreuze). Constructed of blackened bronze, consisting of a vaulted Cross Patte, the obverse with black enameled arms trimmed with ribbed borders, bearing a central circular laurel leaf wreath surrounding a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the six oclock arm bearing a raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, topped by a date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm bearing a raised date of 1813 topped by a crown, the reverse with a barrel
