Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Johann, set within a blue enameled ring, the reverse bearing central raised dates 1870 1871, unmarked, measuring 27. 24 mm (w) x 31. 72 mm (h), weighing 10. 8 grams,
