that acted as a Prisoner of War Camp for German and Italian Generals and Staff Officers
constructed of fine quality hand embroidered twisted silver aluminum bullion wires in the shape of three gulls within a wreath

Prussia, Kingdom. A General Honour Medal With 70-Year Clasp, C.1900 Newly Listed The Act of Union (Riksakten)(Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen mit Jubilumszahl 70). Instituted 18 January 1810 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1851 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a central inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE), within a laurel leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, unmarked, measuring 39.
