Four Patriotic Badges, C.1914 Archive He was awarded the Colonial(Abzeichen). 1) A patriotic badge constructed of magnetic medal, the obverse shows a black enamelled cross patte over a red enamelled field, surrounded by the words GOTT MIT UNS 1914, the reverse smooth except for the inscription GES. GESCHUTZT, a horizontal pinback, measures 20. 29 mm (w) x 22. 04 mm (h), and in fine condition. 2) A gilded badge of multi piece construction, the obverse shows a black enamelled cross patte, with the words GOTT MIT UNS
