Type I. 1890 1908 issue. A sash badge in silver gilt, consisting of an enameled white Patte Cross with gilded edges, obverse centre featuring a red enameled background with stylized inscription reading St. Alexander, surrounded by the motto (God with us), reverse centre in white enamels inscribed 19 1878 (18 February 1878), the date of the signing of the Treaty of San Stefano, surmounted by a very
