Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, By Rudolf Souval Auction Archive marked "D" on centrepiece)(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, on top of a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 96. 70
