Constructed of coppered feinzink, the obverse consisting of a diamond overlaid by a depiction of Icarus emanating from a mobile swastika, flanked by initials NSFK, and overlaid by a banner bearing an engraved inscription of REICHSWETTBEWERB FR MOTORFLUGMODELLE (NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MOTORIZED MODEL AIRCRAFT), the reverse bearing an inscription of MIT UNSEREM FHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGER WIR FR
