France, Napoleonic. A Legion Of Honour, First Empire, Type Iii, Knight, C.1807 Archive with the letters "RInstitution Date: May 19, 1802. In silver, center medallion bearing an eagle on the obverse and right facing bust on the reverse, with a large crown suspension, hallmarked on the ring, on period ribbon, minor crazing on enamels, measuring at 36mm (w) x 59mm (h), in very fine condition.
