Multi piece construction, in silver gilt, a red enamelled cross with ball finials, with five smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse centrepiece insignia in silver with blue, green and white enamels, reverse centrepiece in silver with blue and white enamels and bearing the monogram of Ferdinand in silver with a surmounting royal crown, the base surmounted by a wreath
