In bronze gilt, a hollow base of smooth rays, with insignia superimposed on the obverse depicting a five point white enamel star with ball finials and a laurel wreath combining the arms, the central medallion features Chilean crest encircled by a blue ring inscribed ORDEN AL MERITO CHILE, the reverse features a single vertical pin with dual stays, measures 77. 6 mm (w) x 79. 7mm
