F" at the upper left, along with a Royal Montreal Regiment affixed in place at the lower right, inside covers with a gold coloured wash, maker marked "BIRKS" and marked "STERLING" on the inside back cover upper lip, marked "73" and "L73" on the facing lips along the bottom on the inside front and back covers respectively, engraved "Presented to Major G.
