Romania, Kingdom. A Medal Of Aeronautical Virtue, Iii Class Bronze Grade, C.1940 Newly Listed both unmarked and measuring 39(Medalia Medaliei Virtuii Aeronautice). Instituted in 1931. In bronze, measuring 32. 5 mm (w) x 35. 5 mm (h), spotting, on its original civil ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Medal of Aeronautical Virtue in its three classes was founded by King Charles II on February 24, 1931, as an extension of the Order of Aeronautical Virtue's higher classes. It was awarded to non commissioned officers of the Romanian Air Force, especially to pilots.
