Germany, Third Reich. A German Equestrian Badge, Iii Class In Bronze, By L. Christian Lauer Newly Listed In October 1941(Deutsches Reiterabzeichen, III. Klasse in Bronze). Instituted 9 April 1930. (1930 1945). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized belt and buckle around a raised letter R, with a central horse and rider on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked L. CHR. LAUER, NRNBERG, measuring 41. 98 mm (w)
