Multi piece construction, center appliqu in Gold with red enamels, mounted to a silver seven pointed star base, the star and moon suspension in silver gilt with red enamels, measuring 65 mm (w) x 81. 7 mm (h) inclusive of its star and crescent moon suspension, intact enamels, on a modern replacement full length neck ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Medjidie (Mecidiye) was instituted in 1851. It was
