This previously owned copy has a bit of rubbing to the covers. Herbert Paus was a contemporary of J. C. Leyendecker. They both created numerous covers for Collier's Magazine and both illustrated Hart Schaffner & Marx catalogs and advertisements. So it is not a surprising that Paus shares a number of Leyendecker's qualities: a posterized style, great silhouettes,
