It is fronted by a Saxony gilt aluminum cockade with a green felt centre, the crown above with a Second Reich gilt aluminum cockade with a painted black base incorporating a raised silvered ring and a red felt centre. The upper on the visor is black vulcanfibre, exhibiting light crazing, the underside is synthetic and finished in a reddish brown
