Germany, Third Reich. A German Olympic Games Commemorative Medal, With Case certificate_of_authenticity including O'Donahoe and 1(Deutsche Olympia Erinnerungsmedaille mit Etui). Instituted 31 July 1936. (1936 1937 issue). Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central Olympic column overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, topped by Olympics rings, and flanked by a date of 1936, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN
