A 139th Infantry Battalion "Northumberland Battalion" Cap Badge Hold Includes: ArmouredIn browning copper, unmarked, measuring 39. 3 mm (w) x 48. 5 mm (h), both lugs intact, greening and discolouration evident on the obverse, residue present in the recessed areas on the reverse, very fine. Footnote: The 139th Infantry Battalion was raised in Northumberland County, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Cobourg, under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed September 27, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant
