dated 28 October 1944 and closing with Milch’s handwritten signature in graphite pencil

A Cartridge Box Badge of the Foot Guards, c.1780 Republic of The handle grip is composedA large badge in brass, likely theatre made, the obverse presenting the cipher of King George, with large surmounting crown, the reverse with three lugs for cartridge box adhesion, measures 58. 2mm (w) x 92. 4mm (h), evidence of oxidation related to the age, a rare decoration in very fine condition. Footnote: The cartridge box badge adorned the cartridge box, which held fixed cartridges of paper for faster loading.
