A Tropical Field Gun Barrel Cover consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac and blue national tri-colour border(Feldkanone Fassabdeckung). An unissued Wehrmacht tropical field gun barrel cover, constructed of an olive drab cotton based canvas cylinder, with the tip completing in a khaki tan twill cover, the rim with a hollow channel through which is looped a grey cotton drawstring emanating from both ends to tie together for a secure fixture to the barrel, unmarked, measuring 260 mm (w) x 600 mm (l) when folded flat, in near mint condition.
