Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular chain wreath, with a central blockade runner cutting through waves, with the bow overlaid by a German national eagle in mid flight and clutching a swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of A. G. Metall & Kunststoff, measuring 49. 72 mm, weighing 38. 6 grams, some loss of finish
