An 1938 Czech Loyal Service Cross Of The National Armed Guard; Silver Version Auction Footnote: On January 10 1862In silver, hallmarked and maker marked "MO" on upper arm on the reverse, very crisp detail, 35. 2 mm, bronze linden leaf clasp on original ribbon, better than extremely fine. Footnote: NSG (Narodn Streleckych Gard = National Armed Guard). The Czech National Guard can trace its antecedents back to the Middle Ages; this cross was awarded for service during the Sudetenland crisis of 1938which culminated in the ignominious appeasement of Germany at Munich.
